We exceeded our contracted volume yesterday but only by a single dekatherm. This is far better than the 500 dekatherms that was first projected last Friday. Thus far, our usage today is down…slightly…when compared to yesterday. The gas we are having to buy at market is still significantly higher than normal but no where near the 70 times higher other cities had experienced.
If that was the good news…the bad news is the pipeline has reduced our hourly maximum limits by 10%. This number is within reach provided we continue our efforts.
We do not yet know what gas bills will look like for this time period. Gas used between February 12 and March 11 will be on the bill due on April 15th. Thank you Perryville for your efforts to keep natural gas usage low during this time. It has made a difference!
More information will follow as it becomes available.
