Bulk Trash
Bulk trash pickups are available on Mondays and Fridays. Each bulk trash item requires a $15 fee, which must be paid at City Hall (open Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.). Upon payment, you’ll receive a sticker to place on the item. Stickers must be used within 90 days of purchase.
For large piles (as determined by the Refuse Superintendent), the pickup fee is $150.
Household Trash
Household trash is to be placed at the curb no earlier than 5:00 pm the day preceding collection and containers removed the same day of collection. All items must be at curbside by no later than 7:00 am on the day of scheduled pickup.
The following items are not accepted by the Refuse Department at the curbside, but may be delivered to the Recycling Center for recycling:
- Used motor oil
- Transmission fluid
- Used diesel fuel
- Hydraulic fluid
- Paint
E-Waste
Electronic waste (E-Waste) is considered anything that runs on batteries or can be plugged into an electric outlet. E-Waste cannot be put in with your regular trash. It can be dropped off at the Perry County Recycling Center (website).
Grease
The Public Works Department offers a free grease drop off receptacle at their facility (304 South Kingshighway) and is available Monday - Friday from 7am-7pm.
