Process
- Deadline to be placed on agenda is the second Wednesday of the month.
- Agenda mailed to Board members on the 2nd Friday of the month along with letters to applicants.
- After the P&Z Meeting the items will then be placed on the next Board of Alderman meeting agenda for final approval. They meet on the first and third Tuesday of each month.

Responsibilities
- Members of the Planning and Zoning Commission serve a four year term and are appointed to the board by the mayor.
- Functions of this board are set by state statutes.
- The Planning and Zoning Commission prepares the city comprehensive plan, subdivision rules and regulations, and zoning ordinance.
- Makes recommendations to the City Council regarding zoning changes, special use permits, subdivision plats, and other developmental policy issues.
